Gómez-Peña’s Mex Files • 03-05-2025 • Resistance Poetry and Audio Art Against Dystopia

For this new episode, Poetics and Politics:
Women's Voices Across Borders, Languages & Generations we invited some of our favorite poets from around the world to join us in the tri-city Mex files recording studio.

The result is a multi-lingual episode featuring poetry in Russian, German, Farsi, Romanian, Spanish and English. In dialog with each of them, we decided against translating their poetry into English or adding sound beds or special effects to their voices. We firmly believe that honoring multiple languages is especially important in countering current attacks against diversity under the Trump/Musk administration.
